The big news this morning (well, besides Russell Wilson in the Pro Bowl) is the upcoming Council deliberations on what to do with Pronto, the money-losing bike share program.
KING5, MyNorthwest, and Seattle Times report on Tuesday’s Council hearing on a proposal to purchase the struggling Pronto bike-share system. The Council has funds set aside to support the program once a business plan is put in place, but will be asked to use some of those funds to purchase and revamp the program instead.
In other news, Seattle P-I reports that Council member Kshama Sawant, a leader of Socialist Alternative, is being used by Republicans to bash Democrats and the City of Seattle.
