With the budget and the Thanksgiving holiday behind them, the Council members get back to work this week on a variety of legislative efforts.
Monday morning’s weekly Council Briefing has no scheduled presentations.
Monday afternoon’s Full Council meeting will include appointments of several people to the Housing Levy Oversight Committee. There will also be a vote by the Council to approve funding of a program using Housing Levy dollars in advance of the Administrative and Financing Plan which, when submitted and approved, will authorize funding of the complete set of programs with Housing Levy proceeds. And there will be actions on three historic preservation items.
This week’s Introduction and Referral Calendar includes several appointments to the Seattle Music Commission, and two property actions by Seattle Public Utilities.
Tuesday morning, the Planning, Land Use and Zoning Committee meets. It has three items on the agenda:
- An update to the city’s regulations on Environmentally Critical Areas, as required by the state every eight years.
- An update to the Mandatory Housing Affordability – Commercial program to align it better with the MHA-Residential program.
- The proposed zoning changes to the University District.
Thursday morning, the Parks, Seattle Center, Libraries and Waterfront Committee meets. The agenda for the meeting has not yet been published.
