News roundup: bike share, arena

Two news items this morning raking in coverage:  the fate of the pilot bike-share program, and (finally) a vote scheduled for the street vacation required to build the new SODO Arena.

KING5 is reporting that Council member Mike O’Brien has finally set a schedule for the required hearings leading up to a vote and the request to vacate two blocks of Occidental Way to make way for a new SODO Arena.

KGW, Capitol Hill Seattle Blog, MyNorthwest, and Bike Portland report on the ongoing troubles for Seattle’s Pronto bike-share program and the COuncil’s committee hearing this week on whether to buy it out.

Crosscut has a report on the lack of traction in Olympia on Council member Sawant’s effort to enact rent control.
