This week in Council Chambers

It’s going to be a very quiet week for the City Council.

With the Independence Day holiday on Tuesday (and most people taking Monday off as well), the Council Briefing and Full Council meeting for this week have been cancelled — along with the regularly scheduled Tuesday meetings. That means there also isn’t an Introduction and Referral Calendar this week.

Wednesday morning, the Affordable Housing, Neighborhoods and Finance Committee meets. The Council members will try to finish up work on the proposed income tax and vote it out of committee for final approval by the full Council on July 10th.

Thursday morning, the Parks, Seattle Center, Libraries and Waterfront Committee meets. There are two items on its agenda:

  • a briefing on the funding agreement between the city and WSDOT for funding the Alaskan Way replacement project.
  • a resolution establishing the Seattle Parks District Oversight Committee.

Friday afternoon, the Sustainability and Transportation Committee meets. Last week, committee chair described the agenda for this meeting as “mostly deeds and permits.”
