Another week of budget deliberations…
Monday morning at its weekly Council Briefing, the Office of Intergovernmental Relations will present on the city’s federal legislative agenda (here’s the accompanying memo).
Monday afternoon the Council will have a very short Full Council meeting; its agenda just has two minor land use items.
This week’s Introduction and Referral Calendar contains more pieces of legislation that are tied to the 2018 budget.
Tuesday at 12:30, the Civil Rights, Utilities, Economic Development and Arts Committee will hold a “lunch and learn” session in which they will hear a report from the Office of Civil Rights on the Prisoner and Community Corrections and Re-entry Work Group.
The rest is budget:
- Monday morning’s Budget Committee meeting has been cancelled. The City Budget Office was scheduled to present an updated projection on 2018 revenues; no word yet on when that projection will be delivered to the Council.
- Tuesday morning, the Budget Committee meets. At that meeting, the Budget Chair will present her “initial balancing package” of budget items which have consensus support of the Council members.
- Wednesday evening at 5:30, there will be a public hearing on the 2018 budget.
- Council members must submit by 3:00pm Thursday any proposed changes to the Chair’s initial balancing package, for discussion next week.
