It’s all about the budget this week.
Monday morning’s Council Briefing has no special presentations on the agenda.
Monday afternoon’s full City Council meeting includes final votes on two land-use actions, plus a resolution endorsing Initiative 1639. Notably, it does not include a discussion or vote of the tentative SPOG contract.
This week’s Introduction and Referral Calendar includes the resolution endorsing Initiative 1639, and a resolution setting a public hearing date for the vacation of part of Broad Street.
The Council is scheduled to have Budget Committee sessions Monday morning after Council Briefing, and all day Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday’s session will discuss what happens with revenues from the Sweetened Beverage Tax and the Short-term Rentals Tax. Memos for each of the optics can be found at the links above.
Tuesday’s budget session will discuss:
- the Navigation Team;
- the homeless response in general;
- the Human Services Department;
- the new Office of Employee Ombud;
- the Office for Civil Rights.
Expect memos to be published some time tomorrow at each of the links above.
Tuesday evening at 5:30pm in Council Chambers, there will be a public hearing on the city budget. This is your opportunity to show up and tell the Council in person your thoughts on the budget.
The agenda for Wednesday’s budget meetings has not been published yet.
