This week in Council Chambers

The budget work is wrapping up, the election is over, and the Council is preparing to get back to work.

Monday morning’s Council Briefing has no special presentations, but will include an executive session for the Council to discuss pending litigation.

Monday afternoon’s full City Council meeting will include final votes on:

  • an ordinance aligning the city’s rules for LID formation with state law, and a resolution setting the date for the public hearing on the Waterfront LID assessment roll.
  • two minor land use ordinances.

This week’s Introduction and Referral Calendar includes the following pieces of new legislation:

Monday morning the Budget Chair will publish her revised balancing package for the 2020 budget. Tuesday morning and afternoon the Budget Committee will meet to vote on the individual items in the revised balancing pacakge, plus any additional last-minute items the Council members propose.

Monday afternoon, after the Full Council meeting, the Seattle Park District Board (which consists of the nine Council members) will meet to approve the Parks District 2020 budget.

Wednesday morning, the Sustainability and Transportation Committee meets. On its agenda:
