This week in Council Chambers: October 11-15, 2021

Budget deliberations continue; the Council has issues.

There are no presentations or executive sessions scheduled for Monday morning’s Council Briefing.

Monday afternoon’s full City Council meeting is scheduled to include final votes on an ordinance approving contract amendments for several of the unions representing city employees to address COVID vaccination mandates.

This week’s Introduction and Referral Calendar includes the following new bills:

  • an ordinance creating a new Indigenous Advisory Council;
  • five appointments to the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners.

Tuesday evening at 5:30pm, the Council’s Budget Committee will hold the first of three public hearings on the 2022 budget.

Wednesday through Friday this week, the Council will enter the next phase of its 2022 budget deliberations with a set of “issue identification” presentations on the collective sets of issues that the Councilmembers would like to address in the Mayor’s proposed budget.
