Tuesday news roundup: the Mayor and the upzone

Two big stories in the news this morning: a non-comment comment, and a zoning change.  Seattle is weird.

The New York Times, Seattle Times, Seattle PI, The Stranger, KIRO, KING, KOMO, Seattle Weekly, South Seattle Emerald, the Urbanist, and MyNorthwest all cover the statement from the City Council on the accusations against the Mayor… saying that the Council won’t comment.

Seattle Times, Puget Sound Business Journal, KING, SeattleMet, Curbed, GeekWire, and the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce report on the Council’s final approval yesterday of upzones for the downtown and South Lake Union areas.

KIRO and Seattle Weekly cover last-minute attempts to stop the city from clearing a homeless encampment under the West Seattle Bridge that was the recent site of an RV fire.

The Daily Reporter discusses the debate over dueling arena proposals in Seattle.

SeattleMet looks at whether the Community Police Commission should have explicit representation from each of the seven City Council districts.
